Circling & Surrendered Leadership Weekend Copenhagen

In Circling, we bring meditative curiosity and awareness to what’s happening in the moment in us and between us. When we slow down, focus, and reveal what’s going on, we create space for deeper meetings with people, more intimacy with ourselves, and with the reality we live in.

In Circling, we bring meditative acceptance and awareness to what’s happening in the moment in us and between us. We research what interconnectivity is and explore our perception of reality from moment to moment. What develops can contain the full spectrum of human experience, stretching from emotional revelations, connection and boundaries, spiritual insights, heightened sensory receptivity, non-ordinary states of awareness, and various expressions of aliveness.

Join if you want to:
– learn about and develop your relational patterns
– connect with expanded, embodied awareness and show up from it
– practice self-leadership and maturing in relating to the world
– refine the connection to the body and see how it is to follow its impulses
– visit interpersonal and transpersonal territories of your consciousness

Who can join?

This event is suited for people trying Circling (also known as Transformational Connection) & Surrendered Leadership for the first time, as well as any experienced participant.

If you have any questions about the weekend or want to try the practice with the host, you are welcome to join Mateusz for a 30-minute circling intro call. More info on the event landing page.

What will happen?

The core practices we will introduce and explore are Circling and Surrendered Leadership, practiced in the lineage of the Transformational Connection organization. To read more about these approaches, visit the event landing page.

We will introduce a variety of exercises that can support grounding in the practice, getting to know its fundamentals and atmosphere. These exercises will often happen in pairs or small groups. We will learn by doing and create spaces of sense-making and debriefing, while also befriending states of not-knowing. The content and structure of our collective process will be mostly emergent, meaning that it will be tailored in the best ways possible to meet what is being faced by participants, and to support the expression of what we want and long for.

The good share of the weekend we will likely spend in the form of the practice called Surrendered Leadership, or Flow. This is when we come as a group and explore the emergence of the present moment from the place of surrender. It appears to be a deeply touching, potent, and transformative approach that invites us to embrace polarities and paradoxes, outgrow our own habituated ways of being, bring forth gifts of our hearts and souls, and confront our blind spots.

Facilitator team

Mateusz’s Circling passion started in 2019, and since 2022 he has hosted the practice regularly and completed multiple trainings in Circling, and Surrendered Leadership facilitation.

He works as a somatic therapist and focuses on modalities rooted in touch, breath, presence, and psychotheraputic inquiry. He carries a deep curiosity and wonder about the nature of reality, consciousness, and the potential that exists in human awareness, including interpersonal and transpersonal states. His training includes BioDynamic Breathwork, Myofascial Energetic Release bodywork, Compassionate Inquiry by Gabor Maté, Circling, and a background in Internal Family Systems. The style of his leadership is strongly informed by following the inteligence of the body, moving from the life force, and commitment to deep listening and heart-centered awarness. He is passionate about dancing, the integration of spirituality and contemporary psychology, state of the world, and community building.

The weekend will also join a group of 2-5 experienced circling or relational practitioners who will support our group process with their surrendered leadership and humaness. To the team are invited other certified practice leaders, or people who have spent a handful of time in the circling paradigm or other similar approaches.

Testimonials

(…) there are some big shifts that have happened in my life in the last couple of weeks, and I think that’s mostly thanks to what I released during the Circling weekend. I felt very connected to everything and everyone afterwards, and like I had accessed some higher state of consciousness. (…)

_

The rawness of this wave of honesty! And the intensity of it. And the ‘being present’ with all there is. Wow. I am blown away! And deeply humbled! Such an undemanding state of ‘doing’! And yet, it is so lacking in the everyday.

_

(…) Waking up after this weekend and a night of so much intense dreaming with so much feels. A lot of feelings flowing through me. I have to say this was one of the best circling events I had so far. I now understand connection a lot more than I ever did. Some layers in me have come alive in such an expansive rich way. Thank you for being there with me, for poking me, for believing in me. (…)

_

I am deeply grateful for learning the circling technique at this event. Just two days later, I can already feel it transforming how I interact with others in everyday life.
