Dignity

Circling & Surrendered Leadership Weekend

At this weekend immersion we will focus on the uniqueness of human experience and the similarities of the human condition. We will explore our existence as flawed and magnificent beings - the imperfectly perfect.

Vision
A very common experience in Circling & Surrendered Leadership is that we start noticing how much we are holding back. We don’t want to be seen as the imperfect, confused and inadequate beings that we really are and thus also don’t get to be seen in our power, our perfection and our gifts.

We hold back when we are afraid of being shamed (or are shaming ourselves), when we want to protect others from the parts of us that we deem “wrong” and when we are identified with one side of a polarity, rather than embracing the full range of the polarity.

The core experience we would want participants to leave with after this retreat is a sense of mattering and of having agency. What we want to emphasize is that with everyone’s unique perspective comes a unique contribution to others and to the world.

Some of the themes that will likely come up this weekend are:

– Seeing yourself in your imperfection, and your perfection.
– Seeing some of the ways in which you are making yourself wrong.
– Seeing your unique contribution and perspective.
– Seeing how your experience can become a gift to the people around you.
– Being touched by someone elses unique perspective.
– Getting in touch with compassion for the human condition.

We will be training the muscles of:
– Staying connected to your present moment experience.
– Allowing yourself to be impacted by others and sharing that impact.
– Generously sharing yourself in service of connection.
– Deeply listening to the experience of others.
– Meeting others from a place of love.
– Bringing presence and truth into connection without being attached to the outcome.

What to expect

Introduction: December 12th, 18.00-21.00
If you want a short taster or feel uncertain if this weekend is for you, please come to our intro night where we will create a gentle landing pad for working with resonance.

Immersion: December 13-14th, 10.00-18.00
At the immersion we go deeper into exploring the theme of dignity through various exercises and through surrendered leadership practice.

What are relational presencing practices
With relational presencing practices we are pointing to practices and leadership approaches such as Circling, Relatefulness and Transformational Connection. These practices are great for getting more in touch with our present moment experience together with someone else. It typically involves sharing our thoughts, feelings or bodily sensations as they are happening and then seeing how it impacts the people around us.

What is Surrendered Leadership?
One way of understanding Surrendered Leadership is that it is an opportunity to see your own Karma in action. You get to see how the way you are holding yourself in the world impacts others and thus feeds back to become your experience of the world. More concretely Surrendered Leadership is a group practice where you are invited to surrender/welcome whatever is happening for you in the moment and lead yourself from there.

What is embodiment?
Embodiment points to actually being there, in your body, taking up as much space as you do with whatever is going on for you. The path to more embodiment typically is a process of discovery where we start noticing all the ways in which we are holding ourselves back, suppressing emotions or not trusting that we are welcome.

Price and payment info

The suggested price for the intro evening is 15-30 euro.
If you only want to participate in the introduction evening or want to check out what this is, before signing up to the full weekend, this is for you.

The suggested price for the event is 300 euro (including the intro evening).
We hold an intention of wanting everyone to be able to participate, regardless of income situation. If you find that the regular price is too high for you, you can choose a price that feels honoring of the work while possible for you to pay.

If on the other hand, the suggested price feels very cheap (if you are thinking that this event can’t be high quality, because of the price, this is for you), we would appreciate it if you would pay a bit more. This will also help us support those, who are not able to pay the suggested price.

I’ve been at two Weekends of Circling with Peter and found them to be perfectly challenging and wonderfully inspiring. Peter combines a sensitive empathy with a direct honesty that opens a safe and exciting space for exploring. I’m very grateful for my experiences and would recommend Peter and his approach to Circling to anyone who is interested in exploring themselves and how they show up with others.
